Fasilkom-IT Conducts Collaborative Visit with Universiti Putra Malaysia

 The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (Fasilkom-TI) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) carried out a collaborative visit with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on Tuesday, 29 November 2022 at Universiti Putra Malaysia.

The representative from Fasilkom TI who participated in this collaborative visit was the Dean of Fasilkom-TI Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia, B.Sc, M.Sc., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Information Fasilkom-TI Romi Fadillah Rahmat, B.Comp.Sc., M.Sc., Expert Staff of Human Resources and Finance Pauzi Ibrahim Nainggolan, M.Sc. , Head of Master’s Program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Dr. Erna Budhiarti Nababan, M.IT, Head of Information System Center Universitas Sumatera Utara (PSI) Mohammad Fadly Syah Putra, B.Sc., M.Sc., and Fasilkom-TI Public Relations Staff Rhama Permadi Ahmad, S.Kom.

The agenda for the collaboration is to discuss internships for degree and master programs, mobility programmers, research collaborations, offshore programmers, exchange programs, jointly / dual programs, journals, conferences, research / grant collaborations, and exchange staff between the two universities. The offshore programmer itself is a program designed by UPM including a learning curriculum and will be implemented at USU.

In addition, there is student mobility which is implemented in the form of exchange students. From USU and UPM themselves, they will both accompany their students to undergo the Student Exchange program. Students who can join are students in semester 4 to semester 6 students, in this program students can also work on their thesis elsewhere, and graduate on time. For exchange staff, UPM will invite USU lecturers to teach, conduct research, and discuss.
