Medan, February 2, 2026 — The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universitas Sumatera Utara (Fasilkom-TI USU), held its routine Morning Assembly on Monday (02/02) within the faculty premises. This activity marked the beginning of the Even Semester of the Academic Year 2025/2026.

The assembly was attended by the faculty leadership, Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs, Heads of Laboratories, Head of Administration, Heads of Subdivisions, expert staff, as well as all lecturers and administrative personnel within Fasilkom-TI USU.

On this occasion, the Dean of Fasilkom-TI USU, Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia, B.Sc., M.Sc., served as the assembly leader and delivered remarks emphasizing the importance of discipline, coordination, and performance improvement across the academic community.

In her address, the Dean highlighted that the morning assembly is not merely a routine activity, but also part of fostering discipline, work ethics, and performance culture among Civil Servants (ASN). The assembly also serves as a platform to communicate policy directions and align efforts in carrying out duties and responsibilities within the faculty.

Furthermore, the Dean stressed the importance of the role of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) at the faculty level. Public information transparency is a shared responsibility that must be supported by all units through accurate, well-documented, up-to-date, and accessible data management. Therefore, inter-unit coordination and administrative discipline must continue to be strengthened.

With the commencement of the Even Semester, the Dean also reminded unit leaders to enhance supervision and control functions. This includes all academic processes such as lectures, practicums, laboratory services, and administration, ensuring they run in accordance with the academic calendar and applicable regulations. Supervision is expected to be preventive and solution-oriented to anticipate potential challenges.

To lecturers, the Dean emphasized the importance of consistently implementing the Lecturer Workload (BKD) in a well-planned and compliant manner as part of the tridharma of higher education. This aligns with the spirit of “Impactful Higher Education,” ensuring that all educational, research, and community service activities provide tangible benefits for students, the institution, and society.

Meanwhile, administrative staff are encouraged to continuously enhance professionalism in carrying out their duties in an orderly and accountable manner, recognizing that the quality of administrative services significantly influences the smooth running of academic processes and the faculty’s reputation.

During the assembly, the Dean also reminded all staff of the importance of preparing the Employee Performance Targets (SKP) as a basis for evaluating ASN performance. All personnel are expected to promptly complete the 2025 SKP in accordance with established regulations, including performance dialogues, target setting, and evaluation processes.

In closing, the Dean invited the entire academic community to view the morning assembly as a reminder that today’s performance quality will shape the future of Fasilkom-TI. All members are encouraged to work with discipline, responsibility, and integrity, and to produce performance that is not only administrative but also meaningful and impactful.

This routine morning assembly is expected to continue serving as a platform to strengthen coordination and improve performance in supporting the achievement of the vision and mission of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
