Universitas Sumatera Utara Together with Fasilkom-TI Cooperate with PT Huawei Tech Investment through the Huawei ICT Academy Program

Medan, Humas Fasilkom-TI — Universitas Sumatera Utara together with the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (Fasilkom-TI USU) collaborated with PT Huawei Tech Investment in developing digital talent at the Universitas Sumatera Utara.

In this activity which was held on Wednesday (28/09/2022) at the Auditorium of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, the Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si together with the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia B.Sc., M.Sc. signed an MoU with PT Huawei Tech Investment Through the Huawei ICT Academy Program.

In addition to the signing of the MoU, the activity which was attended by lecturers and students from various departments at the Universitas Sumatera Utara also held a talk show with the theme "Building Digital Ecosystem to Develop Digital Talent Ready for Society 5.0". This talk show also invite Mohamad Ikro, S.Si., M.Si. as Director of BSSN for Cybersecurity and Crypto Human Resource Policy, Wahyudi Chandra Purnama as VP Network Service Management Area Sumatra from PT. Cellular Telecommunications, Syarbeni as Deputy VP Delivery & Service for Huawei Indonesia and Pauzi I. Nainggolan, S.Komp, M.Sc. as Professional Staff of Dean of Fasilkom-TI.

Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara  Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si in his speech said that to be able to speed up the manual to digital process, students must also be involved in the transformation process and transfer of technology from companies or industry players. Dani K. Ristandi as Director of Human Resources for Huawei Indonesia said that this collaboration would be followed up in addition to internships and certified independent studies (MSIB) as well as opening a special internship recruitment from Huawei for students. Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia B.Sc., M.Sc. appreciate this activity because it is in accordance with the university's target to cooperate directly with industry.
