Fasilkom-TI of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) signed a cooperation agreement with Petala Bumi Riau Regional General Hospital (RSUD) about the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar - Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Certified Internship program on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Building A of Fasilkom-TI.

The agreement was signed by the Dean of Fasilkom-TI, Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia, B.Sc, M.Sc, and the Director of Petala Bumi Riau Province Regional General Hospital, Drg, Hj. Sumiarti and was attended by the Vice Dean I of Fasilkom-TI, Dr. Mohammad Andri Budiman, S.T., M.Comp.Sc., M.E.M, the Vice Dean III of Fasilkom-TI, Romi Fadillah Rahmat, B.Comp.Sc., M.Sc., the Head of Computer Science undergraduate Study Program, Dr. Amalia, ST., M.T., the Head of Information Technology undegraduated Study Program, Dedy Arisandi, ST., M.Kom., and the Academic Expert Staff of the Dean, Amer Sharif, S.Si., M.Kom.

Fasilkom-TI students are expected to register for the MBKM internship program at Petala Bumi Riau Regional General Hospital. Students participating in this program are required to have competencies in mastering Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure, software development, and programming languages such as Javascript, PHP, Postgresql, and Linux OS.

Later, students will receive work equipment facilities for work activities, round-trip transportation funding, and honorarium. Students are also accompanied by selected mentoring lecturers in achieving agreed learning outcomes. This activity lasts for one or two semesters or equivalent to 20 to 40 Semester Credit Units (SKS).
