The Work Visit of the Rector to the work unit in the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (Fasilkom-TI) at the University of North Sumatra (USU) also known as the "Rektor Menyapa" was successfully held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in the Seminar Room of Building D Fasilkom-TI.

The event was attended by the Rector of USU Dr. Muryanto Amin, S Sos, M Si., Vice Rector IV Prof Dr Opim Salim Sitompul, M Sc., Dean of Fasilkom-TI Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia, M.Sc., Vice Dean I Dr. Mohammad Andri Budiman, S.T., M.Comp.Sc., M.E.M., Vice Dean II Sarah Purnamawati, ST., M.Sc., and the Fasilkom-TI faculty.

In his speech, the Rector of USU explained the purpose of this event which was to evaluate the programs that were carried out in 2022 and to discuss and align perceptions so that new programs this year can run well. In addition, the main problems that will be improved this year are learning methods, learning process, software and hardware facilities, faculty quality, and curriculum.

This year in 2023, USU will implement a new program called the International Class, which aims to transform the classroom into something that can fill various indicators to be determined. In the International Class, there are several aspects that will be achieved, namely education, ethics, innovation, research, Student Creativity Week (PKM), and cooperation between practical lecturers or foreign lecturers.

This event also became a discussion and Q&A opportunity between the Academic Community of Fasilkom-TI and the Rector of USU.
