Leica Al Humaira Lubis, an undergraduate Computer Science student at Fasilkom-TI USU, secured a gold medal in the Women’s Kumite Senior +68 kg category at the SEA Games Thailand 2025, bringing pride to Indonesia and Universitas Sumatera Utara on the international stage.

Medan, February 10, 2026 — Another remarkable achievement has been accomplished by a student of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universitas Sumatera Utara (Fasilkom-TI USU). Leica Al Humaira Lubis, a 2022 cohort student from the Undergraduate Computer Science Program, successfully won Indonesia’s 7th gold medal in the karate event, Women’s Kumite Senior +68 kg category, at the SEA Games Thailand 2025.

This achievement marks a significant source of pride for Fasilkom-TI USU and Universitas Sumatera Utara, demonstrating that students are capable of excelling not only academically but also in non-academic fields at the international level.

 

Leica’s outstanding accomplishment is the result of hard work, discipline, and strong determination. It also reflects the synergy between student potential and institutional support in nurturing talents across various fields.
