Medan, August 2025 — The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universitas Sumatera Utara (Fasilkom-TI USU), officially welcomed its 2025 freshmen through the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) program held on August 13–15, 2025. This annual event serves as an entry point for students to better understand the academic environment, campus culture, and values upheld within the university.

Carrying the theme “Unlock Your Potential, Create Real Change”, this year’s PKKMB went beyond academic orientation, aiming to instill innovation and collaboration among new students. Participants were introduced to the academic system, student organizations, and various facilities available to support their studies.

The program also featured a series of engaging sessions, including lectures from faculty members on national values and presentations from administrative staff, providing essential information about student needs throughout their academic journey. These sessions were designed to help freshmen adapt smoothly to university life, both academically and administratively.

The atmosphere throughout the event was warm and enthusiastic. Faculty leaders and lecturers delivered remarks and encouragement, motivating students to achieve excellence from the very beginning of their studies. The Dean of Fasilkom-TI USU emphasized the importance of integrity, innovation, and collaboration as guiding principles in academic and personal growth.

PKKMB 2025 was not only an orientation but also a platform for students to build new friendships and strengthen their sense of belonging to the Fasilkom-TI USU community.
