Fasilkom-TI USU carried out a field assessment of the accreditation of the Master of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Study Program by LAM INFOKOM on March 20-21, 2023, involving a comprehensive evaluation and interviews.

Medan, Fasilkom-TI - The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (Fasilkom-TI) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) conducted an accreditation field assessment of the Master of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Study Program on Monday and Tuesday, March 20-21, 2023 in the Seminar Room of Building E of Fasilkom-TI. 
The accreditation field assessment was carried out by the Informatics and Computer Self-Accreditation Institute (LAM INFOKOM). The activity was opened by the Master of Ceremony (MC), opening remarks by the Dean of Fasilkom-TI Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia, B.Sc., M.Sc., opening remarks by USU Vice Chancellor 3 Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan.., S.Si, M.Si., Apt., and remarks by representatives of the LAM-INFOKOM assessor team Ir. Wahyu Chess Wibowo, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Dr. Ir. R. Rizal Isnanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng.
In his speech, Dr. Ir. R. Rizal Isnanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng. said that LAM-INFOKOM uses five processes in assessing a study program, namely, establishment, implementation, evaluation, control, and improvement. He also added that with this accreditation field assessment, both from Fasilkom-TI and LAM-INFOKOM learn together in improving the quality of study programs. The next activity was the signing of the minutes of the accreditation field assessment, visiting classrooms, lecturer rooms, laboratories, and infrastructure facilities and discussing criteria A, B, C1-C9, D, and E. 
On the second day, the activity continued by interviewing lecturers, education staff, students, alumni, and graduate users. Furthermore, the submission of the draft minutes of the field assessment to the head of the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) for review and ended with the signing of the minutes of the field assessment and the delivery of feedback and coaching suggestions.
