Fasilkom-TI Celebrates Its 13th Dies Natalis with Festive Events and Meaningful Activities

The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (Fasilkom-TI) celebrated its 13th Dies Natalis on December 7, 2024, with an exciting lineup of events. The celebration was attended by prominent academic figures, including:

  • Prof. Dr. Drs. Opim Salim Sitompul, M.Sc., Vice Rector for Information, Planning, and Development
  • Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia, B.Sc., M.Sc., Dean of Fasilkom-TI
  • Dr. Hatta Ridho, S.Sos., MSP, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP)
  • Dr. Fadli, SE., M.Si., Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB)
  • Mohammad Fadly Syah Putra, M.Sc., Head of the Informatics Study Program (KPSI)
  • Sarah Purnamawati, S.T., M.Sc., Vice Dean II of Fasilkom-TI
  • Dr. Romi Fadillah Rahmat, B.Comp.Sc., M.Sc., Vice Dean III of Fasilkom-TI
  • Emerson Pascawira Sinulingga, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., Director of the Directorate of Digitalization and Systems Integration

The celebration featured a variety of engaging activities, including a Lomba Bernyanyi (Singing Competition), Lomba Beauty Plus (Beauty Plus Competition), and Lomba Berpacu dalam Melodi (Racing in Melody Competition). In addition, participants enjoyed a funwalk, promoting togetherness and physical wellness.

The event opened with a potong tumpeng ceremony, symbolizing gratitude and togetherness. This meaningful tradition was led by Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia, B.Sc., M.Sc., Dean of Fasilkom-TI, and was joined by the attending officials, making it a shared moment of unity and celebration.

Furthermore, the event featured special talks delivered by Gerkatin (Gerakan untuk Kesejahteraan Tunarungu Indonesia) and Tim Elcue, the champions of the 2024 PIMNAS (National Student Scientific Week). Their participation served as an inspiration to students and attendees, encouraging innovation, creativity, and excellence.

The 13th Dies Natalis celebration successfully strengthened the bond among the academic community while showcasing the talents and achievements of students and faculty members. It was a momentous occasion that underscored the spirit of unity, creativity, and progress within Fasilkom-TI.
