Four Fasilkom-TI USU students won the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) 2023, heading to top universities in the UK, Singapore, South Korea, and Italy.

MEDAN – The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (Fasilkom-TI) at the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has once again achieved a remarkable international milestone. Four of its top students have successfully been named recipients of the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) 2023, a flagship government program designed to offer Indonesian students the opportunity to gain academic and cultural experience at leading universities worldwide.

IISMA is an international mobility program that provides students with the chance to engage directly with the global academic environment. The initiative aims to broaden perspectives, enhance soft skills, and sharpen students' competencies to ensure they are ready to compete in an increasingly integrated global professional landscape.

The four Fasilkom-TI USU ambassadors who passed the rigorous selection process and will pursue studies at host universities abroad are:

  1. Edbert (S-1 Information Technology), who will attend the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.
  2. Alexander Yuanata (S-1 Computer Science), who was accepted at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
  3. Christoffel Daniel Y. Tambunan (S-1 Computer Science), who will study at Hanyang University, South Korea.
  4. Cynthia Yapiter (S-1 Information Technology), who will be heading to the University of Pisa, Italy.

This success underscores Fasilkom-TI USU’s commitment to supporting the transformation towards Transformation Towards the Ultimate and producing graduates with global competitiveness, aligning with the spirit of Kampus Merdeka (Independent Campus).
