Medan — The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (Fasilkom-TI) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has officially received a Wi-Fi Corner facility through PT Pertamina Gas Negara (PGN) 's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The handover ceremony took place at the Fasilkom-TI USU area. It was officially opened with welcoming remarks from the Dean of Fasilkom-TI USU, Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia, B.Sc., M.Sc., who expressed her gratitude to PGN for their contribution. The Wi-Fi Corner is expected to significantly improve internet access across the faculty, providing students and staff with better connectivity to support their academic and research activities.
A representative from PGN also attended the event, Mr. Krisdiyan Widagdo Achti, Director of PT Telemedia Dinamika Sarana (Gasanet), a PGN subsidiary, who signed the handover agreement alongside faculty representatives. The event concluded with a group photo and expressions of appreciation from both parties.

Fasilkom-TI USU hopes the new facility will benefit its academic community and strengthen partnerships between industry and academia in advancing digital transformation.
