Fasilkom-TI USU won four awards at USU's 70th Anniversary, including top rankings in academic excellence and recognition for faculty contributions and program accreditation.

Medan, Fasilkom-TI Public Relations – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held its 70th Anniversary Open Senate Session on Thursday, October 21, 2022, at the USU Auditorium, with the theme "Towards Entrepreneurial University."

 

 

The event was opened by the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Sc., followed by remarks from the Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi, and a virtual address from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.

 

 

In his report, the Rector of USU stated that the university had achieved national recognition, ranking 12th among the top universities in the country. Additionally, USU entered the 1,201+ ranking in the QS World University (WU) Ranking 2021, marking the first time USU had been included in this ranking.

 

 

By 2039, USU aims to become a university with academic excellence, serving as a "barometer of scientific progress capable of competing globally," Muryanto concluded.

 

 

The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (Fasilkom-TI) won four awards during the 70th Anniversary Open Senate Session of USU. The Bachelor’s program in Computer Science earned second place in the Key Performance Indicators (IKU) 5 category for faculty work that has been utilized by the community or received international recognition. Additionally, the Bachelor’s programs in Computer Science and Information Technology received the USU 2022 Accreditation of Excellence Award. Furthermore, Fasilkom-TI's Vice Dean 3, Romi Fadillah Rahmat, B.Comp.Sc. M.Sc., secured third place in the Most Cited Contributor Award.
