The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (Fasilkom-TI) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received a visit from the SMA Negeri (SMAN) 4 Dumai on Wednesday, January 11 2023 in the Seminar Room of Building D Fasilkom-TI.
The visit was opened by the Academic Expert Staff of the Dean I of Fasilkom-TI, Amer Sharif, S.Si., M.Kom., and was followed by a speech by the Dean of Fasilkom-TI, Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia, B.Sc, M.Sc., and a speech from the Head of SMAN 4 Dumai Halinis, S.Si. In his speech, he hoped that the students of SMAN 4 Dumai could continue their higher education at USU, especially in Fasilkom-TI.
The event continued with a presentation on Fasilkom-TI by the Deputy Dean I Expert Staff Dewi Sartika, S.Kom., M.Kom. In her presentation, she explained what would be studied later, the admission paths to USU, scholarships available, and the research carried out by the lecturers or students of Fasilkom-TI.
Next, they visited the facilities available in Fasilkom-TI, including the multimedia lab, the Information System Center (PSI), and the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (DSAI). The event was closed with a exchange of souvenirs by the Dean of Fasilkom-TI.
