Leica Al Humaira Lubis, a 2022 cohort student of the Computer Science Study Program at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universitas Sumatera Utara, successfully secured the Gold Medal in the Women’s Kumite +68 Kg category at the Asian Karate Federation (AKF) Championships 2026. This achievement stands as a testament to her dedication, hard work, and strong fighting spirit, while also bringing honor to Indonesia, Universitas Sumatera Utara, and FIS-TI at the international level.

Medan, June 23, 2026 — The leadership and academic community of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universitas Sumatera Utara (Universitas Sumatera Utara), extend their highest congratulations and appreciation to Leica Al Humaira Lubis, a 2022 cohort student of the Computer Science Study Program, for her outstanding achievement in winning the Gold Medal in the Women’s Kumite +68 Kg category at the Asian Karate Federation (AKF) Championships 2026.

This remarkable achievement is the result of hard work, discipline, dedication, and strong fighting spirit throughout her training and competitive journey. With excellent technical skills, a champion mindset, and high sportsmanship, Leica succeeded in outperforming the best karate athletes in Asia and secured the highest podium position for Indonesia.

Her success is not only a source of pride for the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology and Universitas Sumatera Utara, but also for Indonesia as a nation.
