Mrs. Umaya Ramadhani Putri Nst S.TI. M.Kom was born in Medan on April 11, 1991. She received her undergraduate education in 2009 at Universitas Sumatera Utara, Information Technology Undergraduate Study Program by receiving a PPA scholarship during her studies. Then she continued her master education in 2017 at Universitas Sumatera Utara, Informatics Engineering Master program after first tasting the industrial world outside Sumatra Island.
During her undergraduate studies she has participated in campus organizations such as the coordinator of Administration and Secretariat of HIMATIF from 2011 to 2012 and participated as a member in the Education Division at UKMI Al-Falaq MIPA from 2010 to 2011.
During her career, Mrs. Umaya also received several trainings from the company where she previously worked, such as the Port Training from PT. ILCS at Hotel Grand Whiz Jakarta (2015), and Training PCS (Vessel Management System & Cargo Management System) from PT. ILCS (2016). She then received several trainings that matched her current career needs such as the International Conference on Computing and Applied Informatics (ICCAI) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (2017), Big Data Analytic – Digital Talent Scholarship (2020) and CCNA Network Engineer for Trainers. – Digital Talent Scholarship (2021).

Mrs. Umaya started her career as a programmer at PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Divre 1 from 2013 to 2014 as an IS staff. Then, Mrs. Umaya migrated to the capital and continued her career as a programmer at the same company, namely PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia as an IT Application staff until 2015. In the middle of the year, Mrs. Umaya took a different career path, namely as a Technical Documentation Engineer and a year after that as an Admin Technical Operations in Telkom's subsidiary and IPC's Subsidiary, namely PT Integrasi Logistik Cipta Solusi (ILCS). After 3 years of her career journey outside of the Sumatra island, she returned to her homeland for a new career, namely as a lecturer. In February 2021 she became a permanent lecturer at Universitas Sumatera Utara in the Information Technology Undergraduate Study Program. Not only that, she also joins Information System Center team as a staff programmer in charge of the official USU website with her colleagues.
Mrs. Umaya's field of research is related to machine learning and data analytics.

Throughout her life journey, Mrs. Umaya never forgets the words from the principal of Tsanawiyah school which inspired her, for other students from Tsanawiyah 2 must know these words, namely "Fastabiqul khairat, Be The Best and Do The Best!"
