Fanindia Purnamasari was born on 17 August, 1989 in Medan. She received bachelor degrees from Universitas Sumatera Utara (2013), and master degrees from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2017). She joined several organizations during as a student, as a public relation member of Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Perangkat Lunak (2008), as a secretary of Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia-Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2015-2016) and as a member of HCI and ELT Laboratorium during as master student. She organized the 2015 and 2016 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic in Kuala Lumpur. .

She joined Universitas Sumatera Utara as a lecturer in 2019 and currently, she is participating as a member of Unit Manajemen Mutu, member editor of Journal of Computing and Applied Informatics (JoCAI). She was also appointed as co-instructor of Digital Talent Scholarship in USU (2019-2020).

She has research interest in human computer interaction, data science and artificial intelligence. She attended some courses, seminar to enhance her knowledge in her interest, one of them is Data Scientist: Artificial Intelligence untuk Dosen dan Instruktur was organized by Kominfo (2021).

In her life, she is trying to be an optimistic person, not feel better than others and keep quotes ‘Rendahkan hatimu dalam menuntut ilmu”.
