The leadership of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology of the Universitas Sumatera Utara consists of Dean and Vice Deans, who are tasked with managing the faculty as a whole, overseeing the implementation of education, research, and community service, as well as strengthening relationships with alumni and the general public. general public. The Dean is elected by the Chancellor and serves for five years, after going through an election process at the level faculty and university level. Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia was inaugurated as Dean of Fasilkom-TI for the 2021–2026 period. In the same year, she was awarded as one of the best online education lecturers at USU. Dr. Maya Silvi Lydia — who was born on January 27, 1974 in Medan— received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and her doctoral degree from Universitas Sumatera Utara. Dr. Maya is very active in practicing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. She teaches various subjects and has graduated more than 80 people from Universitas Sumatera Utara. In terms of research, Dr. Maya has experience as a presenter at national and international scientific seminars. In addition, Dr. Maya has carried out many community service activities. She chooses to be herself and puts forward an attitude that can create change in a positive direction.

Mr. Romi Fadillah Rahmat, born on March 3, 1986, in Jakarta, he completed his Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) in 2007 at Universiti Sains Malaysia, then he continued with his master degree in Science at the same university. Starting his career as a permanent lecturer at Universitas Sumatera Utara from 2010, Mr. Romi held the position of Head of Information Technology Undergraduate Study Program from 2017-2021. His career at the university continued after being appointed as Secretary of Academic Senate USU for the period of 2019-2024. Then in 2021 he was appointed as Vice Dean III for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Information. Previously he was also trusted as an ITE expert by most of the police in the North Sumatra Region. Mr. Romi has also been an expert and consultant for NGO Caritas for the Tsunami recovery program in Meulaboh, he was also involved as an expert consultant for application development at the Medan City Revenue Service from 2011-2014, and he served as Head IT Consultant for PT. Dhiarga in Medan. In 2019, Mr Romi was also involved in an orangutan monitoring project funded by USAID in Banda Aceh. Mr. Romi Fadillah Rahmat started his research while studying for his master degree in Malaysia, with the focus of his research at that time on Brain-like Computing using the Distributed Adaptive Neuro-Gen Learning Engine, which is one of the novel methods he invented. Then Mr. Romi also received 17 research grants from 2014 until now, both from the Ministry of Education and Culture funds and from the Talenta USU research fund. His research interests are brain-like computing, image processing, image vision, deep learning, virtual reality, real-time processing, and data analytics. He has published more than 100 publications with 10 international journal articles. He won 2nd place as the Best Researcher in 2018 from USU. He completed his last education at the S3 level, Computer Science study program, at Universitas Sumatera Utara in 2024.

Dr. Mohammad Andri Budiman was born in Medan on October 8, 1975. He holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from ITB, a Master of Computer Science degree from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia and a Master of Engineering Management from University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. In 2021 he earned his doctoral degree from the Doctoral Program in Computer Science at Universitas Sumatera Utara. From 2009–2017, Dr. Mohammad Andri Budiman was secretary of Master’s Program in Informatics Fasilkom-TI USU. During that time, he also appointed as Chair of the USU ICT Task Force (2012-2013), member of the USU senate (2013-2014), member of Team Formulator of USU's Strategic Plan and RPJM (2014), and Chair of Fasilkom-TI Advisory Council for the 2013-2017 period. From 2017 to 2021, he appointed as head of Fasilkom-TI Algorithm and Programming Laboratory, and currently Dr. Mohammad Andri Budiman is Vice Dean I for Academic, Student Affairs and Alumni, Fasilkom-TI. Dr. Mohammad Andri Budiman is certified as a Java Programmer from Sun Microsystems, United States of America. He loved by his students, therefore for 2 consecutive years (2013-2014) he won the position of Favorite Lecturer in S-1 Computer Science Study Program. At the 2015 USU Anniversary, he was the second best presenter in the Lecturer Category. Not only that, his ability as a lecturer was also recognized by getting the Best Lecturer at the 2019 Fasilkom-TI Awards. Mr. Mohammad Andri Budiman also has a high IQ, so he can join the Member of IHIQS (The International High IQ Society) in 2016 and Member of Mensa International High IQ Society in 2017. Mrs. Sarah Purnamawati is a distinguished lecturer in the Undergraduate Program in Information Technology at Universitas Sumatera Utara, where she specializes in Database Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and Information System Management. With her extensive knowledge and experience, she is dedicated to equipping her students with the skills necessary to navigate the rapidly changing technology landscape. Mrs. Sarah emphasizes hands-on learning, encouraging students to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios, thereby enhancing their problem-solving abilities. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Purnamawati serves as the Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Assets, where she plays a critical role in the operational management of the faculty. Her leadership ensures that the administrative aspects of the program run smoothly, allowing both students and faculty to focus on academic excellence. Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment, she actively engages with students to understand their needs and aspirations, helping them achieve their academic goals.
